Rather bike around the area? No problem – Ludington is a bike-friendly city with plenty of paths and trails through the state park, around town, and through local parks, as well as the Hart-Montague Bike Trail. Here’s a link that will help you plan your route based on the time or mileage you’d like to dedicate to your ride. Didn’t bring your bike with you? No problem – Spindrift Cyclesports and Trailhead Bike Shop offer bike rentals for your use while visiting Ludington.

Ludington is a great beach town in the summer months, but as the seasons change, the sights become even more beautiful dressed in fall color, or frosty blankets of snow. Come enjoy a cozy weekend at the Lamplighter Bed & Breakfast and venture out to the State Park for gorgeous Fall color, or in the winter months, cross-country skiing or a guided snowshoe walk! Ludington has several great golf courses including two PGA-rated, public courses that offer beautiful scenery and a challenging round! Lakeside Links Golf Couse offers 27 holes situated near beautiful Lake Michigan and is just minutes from downtown Ludington. For a great round of golf in a setting that incorporates Ludington’s natural coastal beauty, visit Hemlock Golf Club.

Boaters and fishermen know that the West Coast of Michigan is a paradise for anyone who loves the water, and the Ludington area does not disappoint! Whether you’re bringing your own boat or looking to charter one for the day or weekend or wish to rent a canoe or kayak, there are plenty of opportunities to do so in Ludington. Traveling with your own water toys? The Lamplighter Bed & Breakfast provides a large, private parking lot that can accommodate our guests’ trailers hauling boats, jet skis, and other water gear! Call ahead and we’ll make sure we reserve space for you.

Ludington is known as the #1 Salmon Fishing Port in Michigan, thanks to these conditions: location to deep waters, excellent off-shore structure, warm shoal waters, and natural river mouths. Whether you were raised fishing on the Great Lakes or are new to the area and want to experience a Lake Michigan fishing adventure, you're in for an amazing time!

  • Silver Hills Antiques at Gustafson's - (Open May 1st through October) This Pentwater shop includes three floors of unique antiques, home fineries, consignment pieces, and local artwork.
