Who would have thought that a pair of college internships at bed and breakfasts twenty years ago would serve as the catalyst for our future? After fifteen years spent pursuing careers in landscape design and corporate marketing, we found ourselves ready for a change of pace. Driven by our faith and a shared belief that the best community happens around a table, we traded the corporate grind for innkeeper life—and we haven't looked back since.

Returning to the "Mitten State" to steward The Lamplighter Bed & Breakfast  has been a true homecoming. We are happiest when we are testing new brunch recipes, catching up with guests, or exploring the beauty of Michigan’s West Coast with our two young sons by our side.While our boys think it’s perfectly normal to see new faces every day—and mostly appreciate the lifestyle for the fresh cookies that 'magically' appear each afternoon—we are simply grateful to be part of this vibrant lakeside community and to share the best of Ludington with everyone who stays with us.

As the fourth owners of this elegant 1890s Victorian, we’ve dedicated ourselves to honoring her heritage. We’ve spent countless hours restoring original wood floors and updating our rooms to blend historic beauty with modern, casual comfort. Having lived the stress of the corporate hustle, our goal is to provide you with a peaceful, inviting space that leaves you feeling relaxed..
