The Great Outdoors

With 28 miles of sandy shoreline and one of Michigan’s most expansive state parks, our local landscape is a natural place for adventure. Hiking & Biking

Ludington State Park offers an extensive network of hiking trails that wind through marshlands and forests. If you prefer to explore on two wheels, Ludington is a bike-friendly community with paths stretching through the state park, around town, and along the Hart-Montague Trail. You can plan your route based on your schedule and preferred mileage and/or terrain.

Not traveling with your own bike? Both Spindrift Cyclesports and Trailhead Bike Shop offer local rentals.

Historic Lighthouses

Ludington is home to two iconic lighthouses: the North Breakwater and Big Sable Point. If you’re touring the Michigan coastline, these three are essential stops.

A Town for All Seasons

While Ludington is a classic beach town in the summer, the landscape is just as striking when dressed in fall colors or a quiet blanket of snow. We invite you to enjoy a cozy weekend at the inn and venture out for a crisp autumn hike, cross-country skiing, or a guided snowshoe walk.
